It's Your Right To Know:
*Since there is not a Master stylist classification in Virginia, stylist levels are determined by salon management. They are based on
technical skill evaluation, experience, education, and level of customer service. Levels range from one to five. Lower level
stylists are mentored and supervised by higher level stylists. All stylists start as a Level 1, until all requirements are met.
** Prices are determined by the level of stylist and services rendered.
***Continuing education is a requirement of the salon, not the licensing board. Stylists classified as a "Paul Mitchell Stylist," are
those that have had extensive training/education in Paul Mitchell's color and products.
****Stylists are Licensed by the Virginia DPOR based on the criteria set forth by law. Apprentices are registered with the
Department of Labor & Industry AND are always under the direct supervision of a licensed stylist.
